Ethos Group
At St Elphin’s, our Ethos Group works closely with the RE subject leader to promote and deepen our Christian values and support spiritual development across the school. This pupil-led group takes an active role in school life by writing and leading prayers in Worship, helping to plan and lead Collective Worship, and organising playtime activities that encourage reflection, kindness, and connection. Through their work, they help create a thoughtful, inclusive environment where spirituality can grow in meaningful, everyday ways.

Celebrating with other schools
In January, we invited the Ethos Groups from our partner schools to join us for our Collective Worship. We welcomed our visitors with a tour of the school, showing them our reflection areas and displays.
During worship, we listened to the parable of the Good Shepherd in poem form and reflected on the words, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). This reminded us that God’s love never changes—just like the caring shepherd in the poem.
It was lovely to share this special time with our friends from other schools, and we are looking forward to visiting them for worship soon.

Together in faith, we learn, we care, we serve, we share
Serve one another in love (Galatians 5:13)
